A Message from our Chairperson

Dear Friends,

I made aliya from London in 2008. I became Chairman of the organization in 2012 and completed my term in 2016. I was on the Executive Board of Netanya AACI continuously from 2010 until 2022, in various roles – Vice Chair, Treasurer and Financial Secretary. I was elected once again as Chairman in 2024.

We have a wonderful organization and a caring community centre for English speakers, and we cater to the needs of the English-speaking community. Netanya AACI offers resources for both long-time members and new Olim, including those considering making Netanya their home.

One of our key facilities is the library, with over 7,000 English-language books. Our mobile library will bring books to you if you can no longer visit the building. Just call us to make arrangements.

We put on lectures, musical events, chugim (clubs for various interest groups), exercise classes and tiyulim to show you the offbeat sights of Israel. Our Counselor provides excellent advice to our members on a range of topics related to living in Israel and navigating the bureaucracy.

We send out a weekly eNews with upcoming events, and we publish a bi-monthly magazine describing all of our offerings.

We also have an excellent website where you will find listings for, and be able to book for, programs, lectures, trips, exercise classes, social activities and much more. Our website also describes the services we offer to new Olim, whether meeting with our counselor to guide you through Israeli bureaucracy, having someone help you with Hebrew language phone calls, or help understanding medical laboratory results.

You can find information about volunteering with us or with community service organizations. You can find important national phone numbers, and you can arrange for membership right on the website.

So, the next time you’re in the area, I encourage you to stop in and visit with us at 28 Shmuel Hanatziv, Netanya (down the alley).  We’ll give you a cup of tea or coffee, introduce you to our wonderful volunteers and hopefully convince you to become involved with our warm community.
